What does a birth doula do?

Doulas offer physical & emotional support to you & those you allow in your birthing space. They offer education before your birthing day so that when you come into your birth flow you are prepared to advocate for yourself with knowledge and confidence.

What does a postpartum doula do?

Postpartum doulas offer new families support during some of the hardest times. Often families prepare for birth but don’t think about the postpartum journey. Postpartum doulas can fill the gaps for families by helping with breastfeeding, sleeping, light housecleaning to education & support of the postpartum experience.

When should I hire a birth doula?

Birth doulas can be hired at anytime in your pregnancy. Typically doulas are contracted with between 20-30 weeks of pregnancy. I take clients at any week in their journey. The earlier that your birth doula is hired however, the more time you get to know each other, and the more time they have to provide you important education.

When should I hire a postpartum doula?

Postpartum doulas can be hired at anytime in your pregnancy or postpartum experience. While many postpartum doulas work from the newborn stage up to 6 weeks, Krystah works with families up to 2 years.

How can a birth doula help my partner?

Doulas and partners work together to support you during your birthing journey. Our job is to make sure that we educate your partner on all the tools and tricks up our sleeve so that we can both support you completely through your pregnancy & birth.

How can a postpartum doula help my partner?

Postpartum doulas work with your partner to teach them best ways to support you and or baby. Often you feel tired, or unsupported post birth and our job is to make sure we turn that around.
