Krystah

Who is the Keeper of the Spirit

Krystah is a Navy veteran, military spouse, mother, and Houston birth keeper. She has three children, three dogs and a partner that supports her wildest dreams to serve her clients. She juggles lifes crazy all while homeschooling her children. You will often find her making home remedies, supporting the freebirth movement, empowering people, and drinking a large cup of herbal tea. Her demeanor is of a kindred soul lost in the wrong generation. All of her friends consider her a hippy, and she acknowledges the truth in that.

As an Alternative Medicine student with Midwifery training, she is a formally trained birth and postpartum doula. Krystah currently holds certifications in Mamalates (which has a core focus in Diastasis Recti), Infant Massage Instruction, Acupressure for Birth, Herbalism, Prenatal Yoga Instruction, Hatha & Vinyasa Yoga Instruction, Buddha Baby Yoga Instruction, Belly Binding, Mother’s Healer (Closing of the Bones), Placenta Encapsulation and Adult & Pediatric First Aid/ CPR/AED.

What can you expect from Krystah?

Krystah isn’t your average birth keeper. She believes in the power of free choice and getting the birth you desire. While she is an influential advocate for homebirth, birth centered births, and freebirth, you will also find her in the hospital. Krystah offers a unique approach to support in the birthing space. She understands that birth doesn’t require all the fancy tools in the bag the majority of the time. Don’t worry though she has them just in case you ask.

Many times in her career, she has been told to stay silent in the presence of injustice at birth, which she cannot do. Rest assured when you feel you have lost your voice; she encourages you to find it. If faced with significant resistance, she will advocate when you ask her to or when she sees something immoral and unjust.

Krystah offers a holistic approach to birth. While she is an advocate of getting the birth you desire regardless of what that means to you, she encourages allowing yourself to experience the most gentle birth possible. If you are a parent that is against mainstream medical care or forced health, rest assured she will stand by your side and provide you the support and evidence you need to make your decisions just as she will the person who chooses otherwise. When you work with Krystah, you receive, love, acceptance, and energy that will leave a lasting impression.
